For sewing, lightweight as well as firmer woven fabrics with structure, such as cotton, chambray, poplin, wax fabrics, cotton-hemp, cotton-linen, etc., are suitable.

Required Materials
- Fabric (see above)
- either an invisible zipper, 20 – 30 cm long
- or 2 large buttons and 2 snap fasteners
- possibly elastic thread for shirring
- Adhesive tape for assembling the pattern
- Scissors, measuring tape, pins, or clips
- Sewing machine, serger/coverlock machine (if available), iron
Seam and hem allowances
The sewing pattern does not include seam and hem allowances; these need to be added individually when cutting the fabric.
