Fabric Recommendation
Gula can be made from any stretch fabric, such as jersey, knit jacquard, sweat, fleece, knit, velour, etc. This allows you to create a sporty yet comfortable, as well as elegant, dress or shirt.

Cuffs
For the width of the wrist cuffs, measure the circumference about 8 cm above your wrist. For the hem band, measure around your hips, or at thigh level for the dress. Multiply each measurement by 0.8 to determine the correct width.
The length of the arm and hem cuffs should ideally be 25 cm when folded (so a total of 50 cm including seam allowance). If you are sewing a shirt or a sweater, you can make the hem cuff narrower.
Of course, you can also cut shorter cuffs. However, make sure that they fit snugly around the arms and at the hem, so that the dress or shirt fits well.
Required Materials
- Fabric (see above)
- Cuff fabric (or alternatively, jersey)
- Measuring tape, scissors, pins or clips
- Sewing machine, overlocker/coverstitch machine (if available)
Seam and hem allowances
The pattern includes a seam allowance of 0.5 cm. The hem allowance (if needed) must be added individually.
